Tips from Microsoft to Run Your Computer Faster

In this article we will show you how to make your System run faster.
Disk Cleanup:

• Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup
• Select the drive you want to clean up and press OK
• After the cleanup process, select the checkboxes of files you want to delete and press OK
• When prompted for confirmation, press Yes

Disk Defragment:

• Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragment
• Select the drive or drives and press “Analyze Disk”
• If analyze results show that you need to defragment the drive then select the drive or drives and press “Defragment Disk”
• After the completion of process, close the defragment window

Disk Error Checking:

• Go to Start > My Computer
• Right click on your desired Hard Disk
• Select Properties
• Click on Tools tab
• Press “Check Now” button
• Select “Scan for and attempt recovery if bad Sectors” and press “Start”
• Select “Automatically fix file system error” only if you think the drive contains bad sectors
